EGG DONATION LAW

TPR Law not only has a vast understanding of egg donation from the side of Intended Parents, but we also work with known egg donors and closely with egg donation agencies. We currently represent anonymous egg donors from Idaho Center for Reproductive Medicine and Utah Fertility Center and known egg donors who directly contact our office.

Here are the services we offer with respect to egg donation:

  • Preparation of egg donor agreements between Intended Parents and donors where the donor is anonymous, known or semi-known.
  • Matching of known and semi-known donors to Intended Parents.
  • Consultation on legal considerations for Intended Parents who have donor egg to establish Parentage

SPERM DONATION LAW

TPR Law not only has a vast understanding of sperm donation from the side of Intended Parents.

Here are the services we offer with respect to sperm donation:

  • Preparation of sperm donor agreements between Intended Parents and donors where the donor is anonymous, known or semi-known.
  • Matching of known and semi-known donors to Intended Parents.
  • Consultation on legal considerations for Intended Parents who have donor sperm to establish Parentage

EMBRYO DONATION

Working with donors, recipients, agencies, and legal teams, we facilitate embryo donation and embryo adoption – supporting new families and safeguarding family rights in the process. More and more we have potential parents coming to us for embryos to adopt from donors who have completed their family and may have embryos available. We can’t describe in words how moving it is to have babies born that without this adoption process, would not exist. TPR Law supports “known embryo donations” through its affiliate, EmbryoGift. A known embryo donation is where donors and embryo recipients choose each other, with donors sharing background, ancestral, family and medical information. This enables potential children from the donation to have knowledge of their genetics, including what their biological parents looked like, their interests and hobbies, information about genetic siblings, ancestral information, as well as medical histories. International and single parents are only able to donate through known embryo donations. They are not able to do so through the fertility clinic supported anonymous donations. There are no fees for donating embryos as all costs, including embryo storage fees, are covered by the recipient family. The process involves filling out profiles of donor medical and health history. We walk you through the process of providing education and guidance. We aim to establish life-long client relationships and are always happy to continue to advise during your journey. More information is available at EmbryoGift.com or you can contact Deb or Kathleen at the telephone number listed to the right.

INTERNATIONAL CLIENTS

We have worked with over 200 international clients from Spain, Italy, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Switzerland, China, Tunisia, France, Spain, Sweden, Germany, Brazil, the Philippines, Scotland, Canada, Belgium, and the United Kingdom in creating over 300 smiling babies across the globe!

Third Party Reproduction Law assists international clients starting with a free Skype consultation followed by trust account management, coordination with the fertility clinic, legal contracts and consultation, validation of Gestational Carrier Agreements, and pre- or post-birth orders. At the time of the baby’s birth, TPR Law will expedite the legal parentage process from hospital documentation through insurance billing and negotiation, the court required parentage filings, passports, maternity and paternity leave, and citizenship documentation.

Our firm has advanced the parentage process in Utah and Idaho and continues to improve and expedite the process. We are committed that our international clients return home as quickly as possible so they can enjoy their new family without the stress or worry of leaving the United States without proper documentation. With that in mind, we have tailored processes for our international clients, including:

  • Detailed insurance reviews
  • Hands-on ordering of birth certificates and passport documentation
  • Negotiating hospital charges for the baby
  • On-site Spanish speaking staff
  • Affordable and comfortable housing recommendations during your stay here

UTAH FERTILITY LAW

We are the only law firm in Utah with over a decade of practice exclusively in Fertility Law. We continually stay at the forefront of our field while understanding the very personal aspects of our clients’ situations. We are dedicated to providing a positive, efficient, educational, and personalized legal environment to guide you through this essential phase of your family building journey.

With our new streamlined processes, we are able to provide Gestational Carrier Agreements to our Clients within three business days of receiving essential information and medical clearance of your Gestational Carrier.

With respect to parentage, we advise our clients to obtain pre-birth court orders validating the Gestational Carrier Agreement anytime between pre-transfer up to the end of the first trimester. There is no Utah statutory requirement that pre-birth orders be entered prior to embryo transfer. Further, all Agreements fall under and are enforceable under standard contract law. While our team engages in obtaining court validated Gestational Carrier Agreements prior to embryo transfers we also provide our clients the option of waiting until the first trimester to conserve financial resources as there is always the risk that another Gestational Carrier may need to be sought, thus requiring a new Gestational Carrier Agreement and validation process.
